Kale Spa Day

By Deborah

Did you ever ask yourself what all the fuss was about when it came to kale? I mean, who actually cares (and who eats that stuff anyway – am I right??). That’s because you’re not being very kind to your kale – even a vegetable needs a little tenderness (to become tender). So, here’s how you massage kale so that it’s edible.

Chop up the kale into a size you actually would consider eating, then give it some oil (I use olive oil in my little spray bottle). Give it a few little squirts.

Then, get in there with your hand as start “massaging” it! Sometimes I wear a rubber glove on my massaging hand so I don’t have to wash off the residual oil.

Now you’re ready to make a salad. The greater the variety of veggies the better.
