Worcestershire sauce shows up in so many recipes, but it has ingredients I don’t feel comfortable eating, so I found this way of making a “replacement”. It’s not 100% but makes a good substitute.
Replacement for Worcestershire Sauce
Servings 0
Ingredients
- ½ cup apple juice, juice of 1 lemon, white wine combination (replacing apple cider vinegar)
- 2 tablespoons Thai fish sauce
- 1 lime juiced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- ½ teaspoon ground clove
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Mix the ingredients in a blender, and blend until you get smooth paste. Store in a cool and dry place, and use when necessary. It is not the same taste, but works well, and you can make it with ingredients most of us keep in the pantry.
Notes
You will get ¾ of a cup with the ingredients listed.
