1cupfresh raw almonds or blanched almond without skins
2cupsboiling water
1quartfiltered purified water
1teaspoonvanilla extract
1tablespooncoconut oil
Instructions
Bring water to boil and remove from stove. Put almonds in mixing bowl and add hot water. Soak the almonds for a few minutes until the skins come off easily. Then peel off the skins. (Or use blanched almond without skins.)
Put almonds and remaining ingredients in a blender, and puree. Strain “milk” through sieve or use a mesh bag and squeeze out liquid. This makes a quart of milk.
