Heat oven to 350°f or use crock-pot.
Braise chicken pieces in 1 tablespoon each butter & olive oil (or spray nonstick pan). Remove chicken from pan and sauté onion & garlic till clear
Add carrots, tomatoes and seasonings. Replace chicken and stir in prunes.
Put ingredients in casserole to go into oven or put in crock-pot.
Cook one hour (or until chicken falls apart) in oven; add bananas and continue cooking for 15 minutes.
Serve with rice or noodles.
