1sweet apple,peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch chunks
1cupapple cider
1/3cupmaple syrupto taste
1/2teaspoonground cinnamon
1/4teaspoonground cloves
1/4teaspoonground ginger
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries begin to burst, the apple pieces are tender, and the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and add juice of 1/2 lemon (or more to taste); let cool. The sauce will thicken as it cools. Taste and add more maple syrup or lemon juice, if desired.
