Yogurt-Lime Crema

I love this sauce! I use it on more than fish tacos (how to prepare the fish is also included in the notes).  I use it to replace sour cream. Feel free to add cilantro to everything!!!

YOGURT-LIME CREMA FOR FISH (or other) TACOS

Ingredients

  • 6 tablespoons Greek yogurt, fat free or 2%
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 ½ teaspoons lime juice
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 garlic clove minced

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients and serve with fish tacos or chili.

Notes

How to make fish tacos
Heat oven to 400° F; line baking sheet with tin foil; select fish filet for taco (I like tilapia). Spray fish with oil, preferably avocado oil and shake taco seasoning on fish till lightly and evenly covered. Flip fish to other side and repeat.
Put in heated oven for approximately 10 minutes. Fish should be moist and flaky.
Serve with crema, pico de gallo, and slaw. I make my own pico de gallo and slaw. I prefer broccoli slaw.
